THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF PANAMA
The American Society is non-profit, charitable, international organization. Our
membership is comprised of people from the US, Panama, and citizens of all
countries who are living in Panama and share our values.
The American Society was founded in November, 1931, by; Minister Roy T. Davis,
Theodore McGinnis, George Novey, Sr. Robert J. Boyd, Sr. Charles F. MacMurray,
Joel MCGinnis, Carl Brunner, Sr. and Dr. William James. These United States
citizens, whose business affiliations had brought them together, felt the need
for a formal organization to promote friendship among themselves and with
Panamanians.
The Mission of the American Society of Panama (AMSOC) is to maintain and enhance
positive relationships between Panamanian and U.S. citizens. Membership is open
to all persons of good character who support the mission of the Society
regardless of citizenship or national origin. The American Society sponsors and
performs charitable works; assists groups or individuals that engage in
like-minded endeavors, provides a forum for discussing calendar events; and
keeps members abreast of important issues that affect our community.
AMSOC's members are comprised mainly of U.S. and Panamanian citizens, members of
the business
community, personnel from the U.S. Embassy, retirees, and Panama
Canal Authority employees.

Hotel after the installation dinner, please contact:
If you would like to spend the night at the new Westin after
attending our installation dinner, the hotel's best rate for that night is $207 per night
(single or double occupancy) & includes breakfast, or $149 per person(double occupancy
only) for an all inclusive stay that includes more food and beverages. If
you want to stay call Juliissa soon because this hotel is very popular and
usually fills up quickly.
Bus to the Installation Dinner:
We will once again be offering a bus to and from the Installation Dinner at the
Westin Hotel Playa Bonita. The cost will be $10 per person and it's important
that you sign up for this as soon as possible so we know the size bus to order.
